initial Consultation

Let’s meet! To begin the process of working together, I would love to sit down with you to discuss your upcoming project. Engaging us as early as possible is always key. Together we’ll establish your individual requirements for the space or spaces and determine the functionality you require. We will discuss layout options, aesthetics you love, your non-negotiables, wish list, desired budget and key objectives while gathering an understanding of the space and who you are. Following the initial consultation, we will present you with a fee proposal which outlines the scope of work and design fee structure for our design services required.

concept

After acceptance of the fee proposal, a further detailed briefing meeting may be required dependent on the scale of your project With the brief we have established in our meeting/ meetings, we form concept designs for you. This conceptual stage may include but is not limited to floor plan layouts, colour and finish samples, furniture or styling selections. The conceptual designs will be presented to you in a meeting where we will talk through your feedback and make a selection of a chosen concept to further develop.

development

After gathering your feedback in the concept stage, the chosen design is then further developed in more detail. This may include but not limited to full colour/ finish combinations, producing full elevation plans of your kitchen, bathroom, custom cabinetry or other space, or refining furniture and styling combinations. The bulk of the design work is done in this stage as this is where your design really takes shape. Details are discussed as we approach the final design. The developed design is presented to you for final tweaks and selections.

Final design

With final feedback on the developed design, these amendments are made and final selections recorded for final approval. Any last tweaks and fine tuning that may be required can be worked on until your design is just right!

Quoting

When we have completed the final design work and have received sign off on plans and specifications we can start obtaining quotes for custom designed cabinetry and specified products. With great industry supplier relationships, Kella Design Co. can provide designer discounts when supplying products.

Implementation

We never like to leave it there! It is always preferred to work with you right until your designs are completed. If required, we can take control of the ordering, delivery and implementation process to ensure everything runs smoothly and any hiccups are taken care of. We can be as involved at this stage of the process as you need us to be depending on your level of confidence with your project and how much time you have on your hands.

• Supervision of installation and check measures
